Legend of WAS Chapter 0 (Complete)

Here's the first two pages for you, the others are almost done~

What's going on:

These first pages are going to be a 'chapter 0'. Just so It can bring everyone up to speed on the current sit in the WAS world. The actual story takes place two years after the events you read in Chapter 0. Chapter 0 is GOING TO BE SLOW. IM WARNING YOU NOW.



Here's what I'd 'like' to see.
After Every comic is done, someone will claim the next slot. I think it'll be fair to say that one person can not claim another slot until 3 other people have drawn.
You can claim in advance, but I highly suggest you don't start until the comic prior to yours is completed.
Suggested length for each entry is 3-5 pages, but that's up to you.
I don't like making deadlines, but so poeple don't lose interest, please try and finish your entry within five days.
Interaction with other WAS characters, and some of your own (if you so feel like it)



Here's what I'm NOT asking for
The most amazing piece of art you've ever made. This is meant to be fun :D
for you to get stressed out about this AT ALL. If you feel you can't do it, then just say so please :)

Page 10 is up, which brings conclusion to chapter 0!

This is your show now!
As Ninja and Leet already know, I won't be drawing any more chapters after chapter 0, for Legend of WAS. I WILL be contributing to different groups' comics (I'll let you know ahead of time) Mainly only to push the story in a certain direction, if it seems to be getting way off track. HOWEVER, this doesn't mean I get to sit on my ass and do nothing. I'm going to start on the Prelude to the Prelude... (what? lol) I'm going to draw out the events of D-Day, so almost all of WAS' history (from my perspective) can be drawn out.

I'm not saying that this is a giant fighting comic, but there is conflict. How you solve it is on your own accord. If I were to draw out a 'VS Sheet" it would look something like this

Oliver VS All (however, since he's gone, you can't really use him. lol)
WASians VS Mana Weapons
WASians VS B33r Gods
B33r Gods VS WASians seeking to destroy the Mana Weapons

What my GENERAL IDEA was, that every gets into teams of two to three people. And govern yourselves on how you want to produce the comic. The number of pages is up to you, and I'm still a firm believer in 'claiming chapters'. However, not everything in this story is linear, and two chapters can be going on at once. Up to you.

I'm not setting out that many rules, so enjoy LoW!


Where we're at:

Oteki, and 13k WASIANS are dead. Fortunately, not a single VIP (members of this forum) was anywhere near the blast, which covered over half the nation.

The events of D-Day
On D-Day, a symbiote later named Daedelus appeared, and initiated total domination over the nation of WAS. WAS' greatest warriors fought Daedelus for over 24 hours without any sign of salvation. When all hope seemed lost an massive offensive lead by Darkdays, accompanied by the B33r Gods and their Mana Weapons, (At the time, JBB, Tucker, Brunks, Hibiki, and even (the) B33rGod Morr) was launched against Daedelus. Twelve hours later, Daedelus was defeated. Death toll: 6000+
(Real life timeline: This is the 10 day period where someone had attained my password over WAS while I was out of the state. D-Day itself is the six-ten hours after I came back and exposed Daedelus)


After D-Day
After the events of D-Day occured, the citizens of WAS were stricken with fear in anything or anyone that had any sort of abnormal ability. B33r Gods and WASians that were known for having "powers" were shunned from society. The heroes from the battle that refused to leave the country that they risked their lives to protect abandoned their use of powers, and resumed a normal WASian life. (As normal as that ever is..)

The B33r Gods after D-Day
Seemingly after the battle with Daedelus, the Mana Weapons vanished to different parts of the globe. The B33r Gods, no longer having no desire or need to wield the Mana Weapons, walked back up the stairway to heaven without them, where they've resided since. JBB: AKA Snowboard Ninja still holds the Shield Watch

Dark Days after D-Day
Being THE leading force in the offensive against Daedelus, DarkDays attained a lot of attention from everyone within WAS. Immediately after slaying Daedelus, DarkDays went into hiding, and hasn't been seen/heard of since.

The Mana Weapons
Though there are possibilities of unknown weapons, the ones that were wielded during D-Day by the B33r Gods were the Mana Hammer (hammer), by JBB. The Mana Axe (Guitar) and Mana Aviators (glasses) by Tucker, The Mana Gloves and Mana Hair Gel by Brunks (Though JBB has probably used it, since his hair is crazy) and the Mana Sword, by Hibiki. The Mana weapons aren't 'owner specific' items. However, one must be 'worthy' of gaining their attributes. (Morr doesn't have a Mana weapon. Because he's Morr.) (Note: It's impossible to wield two Mana Weapons at once.)

O-Day
(I know you just spent the last month reading what happened on O-Day, but here's a written explanation) Due to the circumstances revolving around WAS' history, and his own, The President of WAS (Oteki) held a conference at the capital announcing his resignation. Oteki was relinquishing his command back to the people of WAS, since they seemed far more capable of governing themselves, than he ever was. Despite what Oliver, Leet, and others may think, Oteki never had the 'will' to die. Oteki recognized a threat against his life (and possibly others) and was going to prove that he's still capable of helping WAS, even if he's not the President. This was premature, as he didn't know the capabilities of Oliver, or the Mana Zipper. (Real life timeline: This is after the events with Daedelus occurred, and I quit WAS, apologizing for all the trouble I caused the board. Initially, I was going to continue to contribute to the board as a member, however, I eventually left. )


WAS After O-Day
Two years have passed since the assassination of WAS' Chief of Staff, and the 13k innocent WASians.
O-Day came, and never seemed to leave. Immediately following it, the people of WAS started a manhunt for Oliver, and his Mana Zipper (The talking skull). Since O-Day, Oliver's eluded all detection whatsoever, and is presumed dead. Due to the public's increased fear of mana weapons, they elected groups of people to seek out and get rid of/destroy the mana weapons still on the planet. Most of the WASians that volunteered for this task are the same that fought along side the B33r Gods years ago, in the name of the safety of society.

B33r Gods after O-Day
The B33r Gods were aware that there was a new Mana Weapon in Oliver's possession (Mana Zipper) on O-Day. Since they were unable to determine the purpose or abilities of the item, or Oliver, they took little precaution. After the dust settled from the black hole JBB was reported seen at ground zero, searching for survivors. Out of anger, sadness, and fear, the citizens of WAS chased JBB from the city. It's reported that he (and possibly the other B33r Gods) are currently searching for the Mana weapons they once possessed, and any others before they are destroyed, or found in the wrong hands again.

Oteki after O-Day
Is dead.

Where we're at (finally!)
Two years have passed since the assassination of President Oteki, and over 13,000 innocent WASIANS. There are currently teams of WASians seeking out the Mana Weapons that are scattered over the globe. Their goals are to rid the world of / destroy the remaining weapons. (hopefully. . .)

I'm not going to 'force' a storyline. And that's a promise. I've got a ton of ideas, and a pretty BAMF script at the moment, but I'd rather do this as a community, and see which ways this could turn :)

And most of all, please have fun with this. Be respectful to other people's rights/characters/ their times for entries, etc etc. all that jazz. However you guys want to work out your 'teams' or whatever, is all up to you.

Couple things to note:

That's leety running around in the background shouting OMGOMGOMG. Since he's stressing the fuck out.

D-day: I'll be making a "Glossary of Terms" and be updating it regularly once I finish up with this chapter. If you've got any words, or terms that MIGHT not be known to everyone, and feel the need to explain them, just tell me, and I'll update it.

Iraq: I'm sure everyone here has their own opinions about this whole matter. And this is just me, expressing mine,

and yes, I'm a tool. lol :(

A suggestion, to you and future people involved:

When someone calls the next set of pages, go ahead and email/PM them the script for your pages. Make sure to be specific with this, as well, so that they don't put your character in a business suit when you're wearing khaki shorts. This way, as one person post their pages, the next set won't be too far behind. Also, this will help get everyone involved with each other.

Looking forward to seeing this really start cooking!

I plan to "ASSIST" with the script. Again, since this is a 'party' comic, everyone's going to have their free will to assist with the comic, not write the entire damn thing (though i already have, haha) >I< think it'll be more fun that way.

IE: If Seraph decides to kill everyone in person A's comic, because he's a homicidal crazy guy, I'll make sure that person B knows that those people are dead, and can't come back.

I guess I'll be 'giving direction' more than giving everyone a script. I'd rather see how everyone else feels how the WAS history was shaped.

Ha ha, I'm lovin' it! I love how you based off what's happened to WAS over the years, and the dark Teki...explosions etc. Once this gets rolling, you could have a couple plots going, and end up with a story that chronicles all our struggles while adding a new one. =P Then we could end up putting them all up in comic chapter form, just like the Civil War comics.

Anyway, can't wait to see what's gonna happen.

My family is uninspirational, they start disrupting my artistic work when I don't do artistic stuff they want, which is tattooing, not comics.
It's pretty much a chance I can get at this.

By the way, our WAS characters will be changed from the normal to fit Legend of WAS, but it's not much use if we hide such revisions from people.

Do char refs now (Helps on future scripting for other artists and the person who starts the story, also gives more freedom to the other artists to tinker stories and set their chars into it. This can also be used to prevent "I'm superior than you, Ooh, DEUS EX MACHINA/SPICY MEAT'A'BALLZ!" stuff.)? or do them after story is more unfold (This limits other artists abilities on revision their chars, but makes it more controlled, it should keep things under control for the person who started the story.)?

Dunno rest pros and cons.
